Corruption Prevention Commission of the Republic of Armenia

The purpose of the memorandum is the establishment and continuous development of cooperative relations with the Armenian State University of Economics in the development and implementation of educational programs, the organization and conduct of educational and research practices of students, the development of educational subject programs aimed at the prevention of corruption and a number of other areas.

On the agenda were the educational programs implemented in the last years in the direction of corruption prevention and the upcoming tasks.

Haykuhi Harutyunyan, the Chairwoman of the CPC, was hosted by Shant TV's "Herankar" program. "In order to have a democratic country and an active system of government, we really need to get rid of corruption and this is the main mission of the Commission,” noted Haykuhi Harutyunyan.

CPC Chairwoman Haykuhi Harutyunyan, RA Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Grigoryan, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne M. Tracy, USAID Mission Director in Armenia John Allelo made speeches at the opening of the workshop.

A seminar discussion entitled "The Process of Anti-Corruption Reforms in Armenia" took place in Tsaghkadzor on September 4-5, with the participation of media representatives.

The representatives of civil society gave details about the programs they are implementing in the process of prevention of corruption and mentioned the problems that are urgent and their solution requires the support of the state.

Getting acquainted with the upcoming plans of the Commission they expressed their willingness to continue and expand further cooperation, to provide the necessary support to the Commission by increasing support for systemic reforms.

Welcoming the guests, the Chairwoman of the Commission Haykuhi Harutyunyan presented the Commission's mission, priorities, completed work and upcoming commitments.
