The requirements for educational programs aimed at preventing corruption were discussed with the stakeholders

In the framework of the “Fostering integrity and preventing corruption in the public sector in Armenia” EU Twinning Program, it is planned to implement the development and modernization of educational programs in the direction of corruption prevention, as well as the creation of necessary educational materials and their localization.

On 25th October, a working discussion was held at the Corruption Prevention Commission with the participation of Twinning program experts aimed at the creation of educational programs and educational materials on the topic of corruption prevention.

Representatives of the Yerevan State University, Armenian State University of Economics, Abovian Pedagogical University, Russian-Armenian University, Public Administration Academy, Educational Complex of Police, as well as implemented educational programs in the direction of corruption prevention, representing the civil society: Investigative Journalists, Transparency International Anticorruption Center and Armenian Lawyers' Association.

Twinning experts presented the structure and some details of the content of educational programs used in Germany for the prevention of corruption.

The participants of the discussion were interested in what format the module will be introduced in the universities. is it mandatory or will each university localize it by itself?

The representative of the Commission informed that a discussion in this format was taking place for the first time and aimed to develop educational content based on cooperation and mutual opinion and its localization is assumed within the framework of academic freedom, maintaining the international obligations and strategic directions undertaken by the state in this direction.
