Corruption Prevention Commission of Armenia Holds Workshop on Sector and Donor Coordination

Тhe Corruption Prevention Commission of Armenia held a workshop on 9 March on donor coordination Тitled “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Armenia” and funded by the EU the workshop was organized by the technical assistance programme team.

Тhe current trends in international experience of donor coordination were presented at the workshop. The participants also discussed the details of the establishment of donor coordination platform and the creation of thematic working groups.

The proposal outlined five main areas of cooperation with donors, focusing on legislation development, the judiciary, anti-corruption, e-justice and criminal justice.

According to the proposal, the donor coordination platform to be established can be coordinated by the Anti-Corruption Policy Council. The working groups will be comprised of the key personnel (heads or deputy heads of departments) from each state institution involved in Justice reform implementation and will be assisted by the Secretariat.

As a result of the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the experts, get a more comprehensive idea of the technical principles of effective coordination of donor support, get acquainted with the best international experience.

In addition to the heads of subdivisions of the Commission, representatives of the RA Ministry of Justice and Supreme Judicial Council also participated in the workshop.
