Haykuhi Harutyunyan, the Chairwoman of the Corruption Prevention Commission participated in the 9th conference of the United Nations Convention against Corruption

Haykuhi Harutyunyan participated in the 9th video conference of the member states of the UN Conventional against Corruption.

The Chairwoman of the Commission reaffirmed the commitment of the Republic of Armenia under the UN Convention against Corruption and presented the achievements of our country in this direction in the current year.

Haykuhi Harutyunyan referred to the system of declaration of state officials, noting that it is one of the most effective systems in the world and provides high transparency.

Speaking about the role of the Commission, Haykuhi Harutyunyan said. “We have succeeded in forming institutional foundations in the country for the establishment of the Commission as an independent, autonomous body.”

She underlined that with the existing tools within the powers of the Commission, it is possible to prevent corruption in the country, and in this regard, active work is currently being carried out.

Haykuhi Harutyunyan also referred to the integrity testing system of candidates for public office of a certain group and announced that CPC had developed model rules of conduct for public servants and a code of conduct for state and community officials.
