Study Visit to the United Kingdom
The representatives of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Official were in the United Kingdom on a study visit within the period of December 18-22 of 2017. The Armenian delegation, within the scope of the meetings with the anti-corruption bodies and civil society organizations initiated by the International Governance and Risk Institute of the United Kingdom, studied the best experience of the United Kingdom.
The experts of the International Governance and Risk Institute made an assessment of the current and further functions of the Commission during their study visit in September, 2017. During the visit, the members of the delegation studied the anti-corruption legislative and regulatory field of the United Kingdom, the scope of jurisdiction in anti-corruption field, the role of the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) of the U.K. and the cooperation with the law enforcement bodies.
The Armenian delegation included Arpine Hovhannisyan, Deputy President of the RA National Assembly, Siranush Sahakyan, Chairperson of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Official and Commissioners Lilit Petrosyan and Edgar Shatiryan, Hayk Movsisyan, Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office, Mariam Galstyan, Head of the Anti-Corruption Elaboration Department of the RA Ministry of Justice, Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Project Director of the Transparency International Anticorruption Centre NGO and Syuzanna Soghomonyan, member of the Armenian Lawyer’s Association Council.
