The Commission will supervise the financial activities of the parties from next year

The amendments to the Constitutional Law on Parties will enter into force on the 1st of January in 2022, which refer to the principles of party financing, annual reports submitted by parties, their audit, declarations and other provisions submitted by the members of the permanent governing body of the party.

According to the requirements of the Constitutional Law on Parties the political parties registered in Armenia must submit annual reports on their sources of funds, expenses, as well as property to the Commission.

In order to organize this process in a more systematic way օn online discussion was invited օn the initiative of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) with the participation of representatives of a number of political parties, during which the upcoming activities were outlined and an agreement was reached to make such discussions regular.
