Corruption Prevention Commission of the Republic of Armenia

The deputy chairperson of the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials Areg Shushyan and members Lilit Petrosyan and Armen Khudaverdyan had a meeting with the Council of Europe delegation represented by Lorena Bachmaier, Lilit Daneghyan- Bossler and Narine Gasparyan at the office of the Ethics Commission on June 25, 2014. The meeting was aimed to discuss the role of the Ethics Commission in the process of judicial reforms as well as the opportunities for the participation of the Ethics Commission in the projects implemented by the Council of Europe. Particularly, an agreement on cooperation within the “Strengthening the Independence, Professionalism and Accountability of the Justice System in Armenia” project of the Council of Europe as well as the activities to be carried out by the Commission related to the project was reached. Those activities will include improvement related to the asset and income declarations of high-ranking officials (including judges), elaboration of trainings on declaration system and corruption prevention.
