MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF ORGANIZATION FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT (OCED)
The delegation of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) lead by OECD expert Xavier Sisternas vistited Yerevan from January 12 to 18, 2013. The mission of this visit was to study the Ethics system of Armenia and to discuss the development vision of ethics system with main stakeholders in our country.
During the visit, the delegation members had meetings with the chief of the Office of the President of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan, assistant to the President of Armenia Georgi Kutoyan, the chairman of the Council of Courts’ David Avetisyan, deputy chairman of the Civil Service Council, deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Yeghishe Kirakosyan and other public officials.
Round table discussions on ethics problems were held with donor organizations and civil society representatives by the delegation.It also focused on Armenian legislation related to ethics rules regulations, institutions involved in the enforcement of mentioned legislation and issues of enforcement of ethics rules legislation. Coordination of activities of ethics system’s components and increasing the efficiency of ethics system were discussed as well.
