Transparency International has published the results of the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (hereinafter, CPI). The CPI ranks 182 countries and territories according to the perceived level of corruption in the public sector, on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).<\/p>\n
Armenia\u2019s CPI score for 2025 decreased by one point compared to the previous year, reaching 46. In the CPI ranking table covering 182 countries, Armenia is in 65th place. Armenia\u2019s CPI score in 2025 remained above the global average CPI score. In 2025, the global average CPI score was 42 out of 100, which, according to Transparency International, indicates an overall downward trend. The 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index shows that corruption continues to pose a serious threat in all countries and regions around the world.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that each country\u2019s score is composed by combining at least three different sources, drawn from 13 different surveys and assessments on corruption. These data are collected by various reputable institutions, including the World Bank and the World Economic Forum.<\/p>\n
At the same time, Armenia\u2019s CPI score for 2025 was calculated as the arithmetic mean of six sources. These sources included the Bertelsmann Foundation\u2019s 2026 Transformation Index, Freedom House\u2019s 2024 report on Corruption Subindex in Transitioning States, Global Insight\u2019s 2024 Country Risk Rating, Political Risk Services International\u2019s 2025 Country Risk Guide, the 2025 publication of the Democracy Diversity Program, and the 2025 release of the World Economic Forum\u2019s Executive Opinion Survey.<\/p>\n
In the mentioned sources, Armenia\u2019s assessment scores remained unchanged compared to 2024, except for the publication cited by the World Economic Forum, according to which Armenia\u2019s score decreased by 3 points, from 56 to 53.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Transparency International has published the results of the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (hereinafter, CPI).
