On October 6-10, the acting Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Mariam Galstyan, and Commissioner Lilit Aleksanyan participated in the 2025 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), as part of the Armenian delegation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Summit brought together over 2,000 representatives from government institutions, civil society, and international organizations from various countries to exchange experiences, present best practices, and discuss progress in implementing open government initiatives and their key directions.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, a meeting was held with the OGP Executive Director, Aidan Eyakuze, and members of the OGP team.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting, the Armenian delegation presented the country\u2019s progress in reforms implemented within the framework of the OGP initiative, particularly in improving the asset declaration system of public officials, beneficial ownership transparency, transparency of gifts and public procurement, strategic communication, digitalization, and a number of other areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aidan Eyakuze highly appreciated Armenia\u2019s ongoing progress in maintaining and advancing its democratic achievements. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of continuity of such meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acting Chairperson of the Commission Mariam Galstyan also participated in a high-level panel titled <\/span>\u201cPublic Integrity, Transparency, and Ethics\u201d<\/b>, where she presented the ongoing and completed digitalization processes in the field of public integrity in Armenia and their impact on strengthening public oversight and promoting transparency.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her speech, Mariam Galstyan referred to the launch and development of the electronic asset declaration platform, emphasizing that Armenia now benefits from a more comprehensive and transparent declaration system, which can confidently be ranked among the world\u2019s leading ones. Alongside the digitalization of sections related to asset declaration by public officials, in 2025, the Commission also launched a digital platform for the publication of information related to political parties, providing public access to data on parties\u2019 assets, donations received, and the asset declarations of party board members.<\/span><\/p>\n

Commissioner Lilit Aleksanyan, in a discussion titled <\/span>\u201cEffective Public Integrity: Regulations, Institutions, and Behavioral Change\u201d<\/b>, presented the Commission\u2019s activities and achievements in strengthening integrity, the results recorded since the establishment of the mechanism of integrity checks, the practical application of the Code of Conduct, and the emerging trends in behavioral changes among public officials.<\/span><\/p>\n
