Continuing its educational initiatives, the Corruption Prevention Commission hosted around 70 teachers and parents of school-aged children from 18 high schools in Yerevan on September 18, 19, and 22. The event, titled \u201cThe Role of Teachers and Parents in Corruption Prevention,\u201d aimed to raise public awareness about the dangers of corruption and to highlight the importance of education and upbringing in its prevention.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Anna Manukyan, Head of the Commission\u2019s Department of Educational, Public Awareness Programs, and Monitoring, presented the mechanisms through which teachers and parents can contribute to fostering anti-corruption values among the younger generation. She emphasized the development and reinforcement of ethical norms, responsibility, and the principles of justice. Participants agreed that integrating these principles into the education and upbringing of children and adolescents is fundamental for shaping future citizens who will build a society that rejects corruption.<\/p>\n
The participants of the meeting noted that the fight against corruption must begin at an early age within the family and at school where an individual\u2019s system of values is formed.
