The Public television company referred to the process of integrity checking of candidates for judges by the Corruption Prevention Commission.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the stage of formation of the anti-corruption court, the Commission has already submitted a conclusion on the integrity of 23 candidates for judges.\u00a0The reliability of the data presented in the integrity questionnaire, the property status of the person, information published in the media was examined,\u201d stated the Head of the Integrity Research Department Marianna Baghinyan in an interview with Public Television.<\/p>\n
The candidate submits the completed questionnaire of integrity, the Commission initiates the entire process of inquiries to government agencies, matching the answers with the data provided by the candidate, issues are raised and based on them, the Commission submits advisory conclusions to the Supreme Judicial Council or the RA General Prosecutor\u2019s Office. \u201cEither a \u2018positive\u2019 or \u2018negative\u2019 or \u2018positive qualified\u2019 conclusion is given.\u201d Examining each body, it appoints or does not appoint the given person to the position,\u201d noted Marianna Baghinyan.<\/p>\n
Since January 1, 2022, the Corruption Prevention Commission has provided integrity conclusions on about 89 prosecutor candidates, persons included in the prosecutor\u2019s promotion list.<\/p>\n
The integrity check methodology was developed with the help of the Council of Europe Office\u00a0and according to the assessment of the international experts involved in that process, Armenia\u2019s experience in this direction can be recognized as the best in the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
