Visit of the Observation Mission of the International Organisation of La Francophonie to the Corruption Prevention Commission

The Corruption Prevention Commission received the observation mission of the International Organization of La Francophonie.

The primary focus of the discussion was the role of the Corruption Prevention Commission during the pre-election period, the obstacles encountered in practice, and issues related to the legal toolkit. The parties addressed the intersection of the mandates of the CPC and the CEC, highlighting the need for a clear separation of functions and cooperation between the two bodies in electoral processes.

During the meeting, the representatives of the observation mission were presented with a detailed overview of the current system of political financing and its oversight mechanisms. In particular, the specifics of financing carried out until May, the requirements relating to the sources of political parties’ funds, as well as the expenditure and donation limits established by legislation were clarified.

At the same time, the results of the monitoring carried out by the CPC regarding the oversight of the financial activities of political parties, along with the existing problems and challenges, were presented.
