Mariam Galstyan, Acting Chair of the Corruption Prevention Commission, and Lilit Aleksanyan, Member of the Commission, participated in the panel discussions titled “Community Dialogue between the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans,” held on October 10 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Kingdom of Spain.
During the discussions, participants addressed the threats of political financing, the impact of corruption on society, the importance of participation at the local level, the role of civil society in ensuring transparency and accountability, as well as other key issues related to open governance and corruption prevention.
Mariam Galstyan moderated the roundtable discussion titled “Civil Society and Digital Tools in the Fight Against Corruption.” During the thematic discussion, participants presented regional anti-corruption digital tools, discussed the challenges related to their use, the role of civil society, and issues aimed at strengthening cooperation with the state.
