The Council of Europe’s New HELP Course Has Been Launched

In collaboration with the Council of Europe, the Corruption Prevention Commission launched the online HELP course titled “Introduction to Corruption Preventio” on December 1, 2024.

At the launch event for the course, held on November 28 of this year, opening remarks were delivered by Maxim Longanghen, Head of the Council of Europe’s Yerevan Office; Nadejda Plamadeala, Program Coordinator at the Council of Europe’s Economic Crime and Cooperation Division; Lilit Aleksanyan, member of the Commission; and Yephrem Karapetyan, Head of the Anti-Corruption Policy Development and Monitoring Department at the Ministry of Justice. The event was attended by members of the National Assembly, investigators from the Investigative and Anti-Corruption Committees, judges, prosecutors, as well as members and staff of the Commission.

The course provides a comprehensive understanding of tools for corruption prevention and the specifics of various anti-corruption policies. Individual modules of the course are dedicated to topics such as the transparency of political party financing, whistleblower protection, managing corruption risks in public procurement, auditing in public functions, codes of conduct for public officials, conflict of interest, and restrictions on accepting gifts.
