On June 12, Mariam Galstyan, Acting Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), presented the report on the Commission’s activities for the year 2024 at the session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.
The report summarizes the results recorded in the main areas of the Commission’s activities, statistical data, existing issues and challenges, as well as the conclusions drawn and recommendations made based on them.
M. Galstyan noted that in 2024, the activities of the Commission were aimed at the establishment and continuous development of an integrity system in public service, the effective organization of the asset declaration process, the analysis of declarations, ensuring transparency and accountability through the implementation of political party financial oversight, preventing the appointment or continuation in office of individuals with integrity-related risks through the use of integrity screening tools, carrying out preparatory measures for the introduction of the corruption risk assessment mechanism, implementing anti-corruption education, raising public awareness, as well as expanding and improving the Commission’s digital tools.
