The Role of Educators and Parents in Preventing Corruption: Awareness Meetings

The formation of an environment with ‘zero tolerance’ towards corruption is only possible through the active participation of broad layers of society. Therefore, the Commission organizes discussions not only for students but also for members of the school community teachers and parents who play a crucial role in shaping the value system of future generations.

In line with the above, awareness meetings on the topic ‘The Role of Educators and Parents in Preventing Corruption’ were organized on May 27 and 29 with the participation of teachers from Yerevan’s secondary schools and parents of school-age children.

A total of 45 representatives from 8 educational institutions participated in the discussions, including the Shirakatsy Lyceum International Scientific-Educational Complex, the Armenian-Chinese Friendship School, the A. Shahinyan Specialized Physics-Mathematics School, the Gazprom Armenia CJSC Educational-Sports Complex School (GAUS), the Ayb Educational Foundation, the Hay Aspet Educational and Moral Development Charitable Foundation, the Usum Secondary School of Yerevan, and the Little Prince Experimental Educational Complex of Yerevan.

The purpose of such meetings is to familiarize participants with tools for preventing corruption through interactive and participatory activities, as well as to promote a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability within the school community.
