On February 6, a regular meeting titled “The Importance of Corruption Prevention and the Role of the CPC” was held, with the participation of CSO representatives. The meeting was organized based on the results of a previously conducted needs assessment, which made it possible to more effectively address the participants’ expectations and ensure focused and practical discussions.
Commission member Aramais Pashinyan, welcoming the participants, emphasized the role of CSOs in the field of corruption prevention and highlighted the importance of cooperation for future joint actions and experience sharing.
During the meeting, participants were introduced to the corruption risk assessment system and methodology, as well as the anti-corruption educational and awareness programs implemented by the Commission, including new initiatives planned within their framework.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an expert from the Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center presented to the participants the methodology for forming the Corruption Perceptions Index and the results of Armenia’s assessments in recent years.
The existing problems and challenges in the field were also discussed, along with potential directions for future cooperation.
