Students from the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University were hosted at the Corruption Prevention Commission

On March 13, Mariam Galstyan, Acting Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission, hosted first-year master’s students from the Faculty of Law at Yerevan State University.

During the meeting, Mariam Galstyan provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the Commission’s powers and responsibilities, specifically addressing the declaration system, the integrity assessment process, the elements of the integrity framework, the particularities of political party financing, the mechanisms for assessing corruption risks, the programs implemented for anti-corruption education and awareness, as well as other key areas of the Commission’s activities.

The students actively asked questions regarding sectoral legislative changes, the Commission’s tools, and practical issues. In particular, the discussion covered existing problems related to conflicts of interest in the procurement sector, upcoming changes aimed at addressing them, practices concerning the prohibition on accepting gifts, potential gaps in the application of integrity assessment powers, the effectiveness and limitations of the fiduciary management institution, as well as other related matters.
