The regular session of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council has taken place

Mariam Galstyan, Acting Chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission, participated in the regular session of the Anti-Corruption Policy Council on March 24. Within the framework of the meeting’s agenda, discussions were held on issues aimed at applying uniform approaches during the examination of violations related to the declaration process of assets, income, interests, and expenses, as well as on a number of issues concerning the prevention of potential corruption risks in the electoral process.

Within the framework of the first agenda item, Mariam Galstyan noted that during administrative and criminal proceedings related to violations of the declaration process, differing interpretations of administrative and criminal law circumstances arise, which affects the consistency of law enforcement practice. In this context, the need was emphasized to introduce a unified methodology for the bodies authorized to examine violations related to declarations the Corruption Prevention Commission and the Anti-Corruption Committee.

During the discussion, special emphasis was placed on the need to avoid differing interpretations of administrative and criminal law assessments and to establish a unified law enforcement practice.
