On September 15, the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption organized an awareness meeting titled “The Importance of Corruption Prevention and the Role of the CPC” for third-year students of the Faculty of Journalism at Yerevan State University. The meeting aimed to present the Commission’s main functions as a state body with a preventive mandate, as well as to highlight the role of the media in the implementation of anti-corruption policies.
During the meeting, the students were welcomed by Aramais Pashinyan, a member of the Commission, who emphasized in his speech the role of young journalists in preventing corruption, particularly in the context of ensuring public oversight and transparency.
The students received comprehensive information on the declaration system, the oversight of political parties’ financial activities, requirements on incompatibility, conflicts of interest, and other related topics. Interactive discussions were also organized, providing the students with the opportunity to actively participate and present practical examples.
