The Corruption Perceptions Index for 2024 has been published

Transparency International has published the results of the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2024. The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories based on perceived levels of public sector corruption, using a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

Armenia’s Corruption Perceptions Index score for 2024 remains unchanged from the previous year at 47 points. In the CPI ranking, which includes 180 countries, Armenia is ranked 63rd.
Armenia’s Corruption Perceptions Index score for 2024 (47) is higher than the global average CPI score (43), which has remained unchanged for several years.

According to the report by Transparency International, corruption remains a serious issue across all regions of the world, but many countries have experienced positive changes. Since 2012, 32 countries have significantly reduced their levels of corruption, while during the same period, 148 countries have either remained the same or seen a worsening of their Corruption Perceptions Index scores. It should be noted that the Corruption Perceptions Index is the most widely used global ranking indicator for corruption. It measures the perceived level of corruption in the public sector of each country, based on assessments from experts and business people. The process of calculating the CPI is periodically reviewed to ensure it remains more stable and consistent. The last review was conducted in 2017 by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Since 2012, CPI scores for each year have been comparable to scores from other years.
