Familiarization Visit to the Corruption Prevention Commission: European University

Within the scope of its functions, the Corruption Prevention Commission continues to implement various educational and public awareness programs and activities, as well as organize familiarization visits.

This time, the Commission hosted 25 students from the European University of Armenia. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the students through presentations by the Commission’s staff with various manifestations of corruption, the institutional framework for combating corruption, and the functions of the Commission.

During the meeting, staff members of the Department of Educational and Public Awareness Programs and Monitoring introduced the students to the concept of “corruption,” its manifestations, causes, and negative consequences. Discussions were held around situational cases, providing the students with an opportunity to share their opinions and suggestions. They were also introduced to the functions of the Commission’s specialized divisions and the toolkit used for corruption prevention.

Emphasizing the important role of youth in corruption prevention, such meetings are intended to be held on a continuous basis.
