Familiarization visit to the Corruption Prevention Commission

The Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), with the aim of raising awareness about corruption prevention, continues to implement anti-corruption educational initiatives. The goal is to create and strengthen a culture of combating corruption among students, fostering informed and responsible citizens.

In this context, on January 21, the Commission hosted the students of the “Civic Participation Club” group from Karni Secondary School in the Aragatsotn region. The group operates within the framework of the “Civic Education” program implemented by the organization “PH International” and funded by USAID

The students were welcomed with opening remarks by Mariam Galstyan, acting Chair of the Commission, and Aramais Pashinyan, a member of the Commission. The Commission members emphasized the importance of youth participation and collaboration in the fight against corruption. They also presented the tools for corruption prevention, covering topics such as the objectives of the declaration system, the categories of positions required to file declarations, the analysis process, legislative regulations, positions obligated to undergo integrity checks, and elements of the integrity system, including incompatibility restrictions, resolution of conflict-of-interest situations, and more.

The participants also engaged in group work and organized discussions on the negative consequences and impacts of corruption.
