Workshop for CSO Representatives on “The Importance of Corruption Prevention and the Role of the CPC”

The Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter, the Commission) organized on September 11 a workshop for CSO representatives titled “The Importance of Corruption Prevention and the Role of the CPC.” The event aimed to familiarize CSO representatives with the tools for preventing corruption and to establish effective cooperation in applying and improving prevention mechanisms, as well as in processes of public oversight.

The workshop was opened by Aramais Pashinyan, a member of the Commission, who noted that such meetings provide an opportunity not only to present the activities of the Commission but also to strengthen partnerships, contributing to the establishment of a transparent and accountable governance system.

During the meeting, Commission staff presented a range of topics related to the framework for incompatibility requirements, conflicts of interest, and other restrictions; the declaration system; oversight of political parties’ financial activities; studies on integrity; and more. A discussion was held on legislative gaps and existing challenges.

During the discussions, participants shared their suggestions and observations aimed at improving the frameworks for corruption prevention, emphasizing the importance of mutual cooperation.
