The Role of Educators and Parents in Preventing Corruption: Awareness Meetings

The Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), continuing its meetings with representatives of the school community educators and parents and the implementation of educational programs, hosted around 30 teachers and parents on June 3 and 4 from various educational institutions in Yerevan. These included the “Hay Krtutyun” Educational Foundation, “Quantum” College, “Areknazan” Educational Complex, P. I. Tchaikovsky Specialized Secondary Music School, “Yerevak” Educational Complex, and the Yerevantsyan College of the Branch of Moscow State University.

The main goal of such meetings is to create an environment where stakeholders in the field of education can not only become familiar with corruption prevention tools but also take the initiative to ensure joint effectiveness.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the legal and institutional mechanisms for preventing corruption, the existing frameworks, and took part in discussions focused on efforts to reduce corruption risks.

Corruption prevention must start from an early age within the school environment. Only a sense of responsibility and a strong value system can ensure long-term results in the fight against corruption.
