Workshop on Capacity Building for CPC Employees

Within the framework of the Justice Sector Reform Support Program in Armenia, a three-day training was organized on March 8-10 to enhance the capacity of the employees of the Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission).

The objective of the workshop was to develop and strengthen the institutional capacities of the Commission in applying the code of conduct for public servants and addressing incompatibilities and other legal restrictions. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to discuss, in an interactive manner, the relevant legislative regulations, best standards and practices, existing legal provisions and rules regarding conflicts of interest and the gift-giving framework. Participants were also introduced to the explanatory guidelines for the code of conduct for public servants and discussed situational issues.

The event featured Ara Ghazaryan, an expert on ethics, integrity, and conflict of interest issues, as a speaker.

It should be noted that the overall goal of the “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Armenia – Phase 2” program is to assist the Government and justice sector bodies in ensuring the effective implementation of the reforms initiated in the judicial and anti-corruption sectors.
