Legal Regulations on the Acceptance and Accounting of Gifts – Lilit Aleksanyan

During an interview with Iravaban.net, Lilit Aleksanyan, a member of the Corruption Prevention Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Commission), discussed the restrictions on accepting gifts by public officials and public servants, the legal basis of the gift registration registry, as well as the legislative regulations on permissible gifts.
“The gift institution has been improved in a legislative sense, and the regulations have been clarified by law. The Commission has approved sub-legislative acts related to the registration and transfer of gifts, which means that the legal regulations are in place and comprehensive.”

Lilit Aleksanyan addressed the efforts to create a digital platform for gift registration during the interview, stating that it is one of the Commission’s primary tasks. “Although the work is currently on hold, the Commission is discussing alternative options.”
