The supplement to GRECO’s Second Compliance Report on the 4th Evaluation Round for Armenia has been published.

The new compliance report of the Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), published on December 11, notes that Armenia has made significant progress in implementing the recommendations issued in 2015.

The report concludes Armenia’s compliance procedure within the framework of the 4th monitoring round, with recommendations focused on preventing corruption among members of parliament and representatives of the judicial system.

The report assessed that the recommendation to prevent circumvention of restrictions on entrepreneurial activities by parliamentarians has been sufficiently implemented. In this regard, the importance of regular monitoring conducted by the Corruption Prevention Commission was highlighted, including the studies carried out by the Commission to date regarding compliance with incompatibility requirements by parliamentarians.

GRECO also emphasized that the restrictions on accepting gifts have been clarified and updated for relevant groups (including parliamentarians, judges, and prosecutors), aligning with the recommendation.
