Aramayis Pashinyan, a member of the Commission, referred to the parties' annual reports In a conversation with Sputnik Armenia.

"Currently, there are 115 registered parties in Armenia, some of which are not active. I think this process will lead to the dissolution of inactive parties after some time," said Aramayis Pashinyan.

Speaking about the general process, Aramayis Pashinyan said.

"Depending on the total turnover or whether they receive funding or not, we need to find out which parties are being audited. The parties should then submit the necessary information, which will allow audit firms to evaluate their suitability to participate in these tenders.

A competition will be held for each party, as a result of which the company that audits the report of the party will be selected by lot from the 3 companies with the highest score. Then 1.5-2 months are provided for the audit. After the audit, the parties must publish their annual financial reports. At the same time, the parties that did not carry out any financial activities should also publish their reports."

Answering the question of whether the Commission has the authority to suspend the activity of the party in case of non-compliance with the norms, Aramayis Pashinyan noted.

"The Commission has no right to suspend the activity of the party. Our goal is to increase the accountability and transparency of the parties."
