On April 7, the Corruption Prevention Commission of Armenia held a public discussion on the draft “Sources of financial resources and expenses of the parties, as well as the procedure for selecting audit firms for the purpose of auditing annual property reports and defining the requirements for them”.

In advance registered 18 representatives of parties took part in the discussion.

The Commission member Aramayis Pashinyan presented the procedure for establishing a tender commission, selecting audit firms and other details related to the annual reports of the parties to the participants of the discussion.

The participants of the discussion asked questions about the content of the draft decision, in particular, the composition of the tender commission, the amount to be paid to the audit organizations, the conditions presented to them, as well as a number of technical issues related to the preparation and submission of financial reports of the parties.

The representatives of the parties suggested to the Commission to reconsider and expand the staff of the tender commission, including members from non-governmental organizations, parties, professional structures, such as the Chamber of Auditors and Expert Accountants of Armenia. It was suggested that the auditor be required to be a non-party member, as well as not to belong to a particular sect.

The representatives of the parties was offered to review the draft decision of the Commission once again and in case of other suggestions to submit them in writing, to be included in the amended version if adopted.
