Representatives of the Commission Participated in the Seminar Entitled "Judges' Disciplinary Responsibility"

During a seminar in Tsakhkadzor, a group of representatives of the judicial system discussed with international experts issues related to the preconditions for initiating disciplinary proceedings against judges.

Mariam Galstyan and Narek Hambardzumyan, members of the Commission, Marianna Baghinyan, Head of the Integrity Check Department of the Commission, and Gyulnara Sargsyan, Head of the Proceedings and Legal Support Department, within the framework of cooperation between the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ) and the Supreme Judicial Council, participated in the hybrid format seminar held in Tsakhkadzor on December 10-11, 2021.

During the seminar, the issues on the preconditions for initiating disciplinary proceedings against judges, judges’ disciplinary liability, and the basis of German disciplinary were discussed.

Lars Broker, the President of the Supreme Administrative and Constitutional Courts of the Rhineland-Palatinate of Germany and Klaus-Akhim Bonikowski, the Presiding Judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Rhineland-Palatinate Permanent Member of the Judicial Disciplinary and Service Court presented the German experience in this regard.
