In response to the oral request of Liberty radio station on the status of the application of Transparency International on instituting a proceeding against Mihran Poghosyan the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials inform:
After the publications of the Panama offshore transactions related materials, information was spread in the media that those facts were being investigated by the law enforcement agencies.
Yesterday, precise information was spread, with reference to the official sources, that the Office of General Prosecutor has already sent the materials to the Special Investigations Service for resolving the further process.
Taking into account the circumstance, that the later relates to criminal procedure, the investigation process of which include issues of larger scope with wider and significantly solid tools, the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials for now refrains from conducting any examination and making any assessments on the published facts.
