THE COMMISSION ON ETHICS OF HIGH-RANKING OFFICIALS OF ARMENIA HAD A MEETING WITH THE WORLD BANK DELEGATION
The Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia hosted the World Bank Delegation consisting of David Melikyan, WB Yerevan Office Public Sector Management Chief Specialist, experts Tina George and Seda Pahlavuni, as well as Aharon Mkrtchyan, the head of the Second Public Sector Modernization Project for Armenia on November 25, 2014. Initiatives implemented by the Ethics Commission with the support of the World Bank and their outcomes were discussed during the meeting. Meanwhile, the possible directions and tools for further joint cooperation with the World Bank within the Third Public Sector Modernization Project for Armenia were discussed as well. Particularly, the required measures for the implementation of declaration verification system based on electronic data were discussed. The last will allow to reveal incomplete false data in declarations. At the same time, the World Bank representatives focused on the importance of eliminating legal obstacles for ethics system development in Armenia, while expressing their willingness to support the overall capacity building of the Ethics Commission.
